Plot board
A writer's corkboard for a story's structure, and the first stage of a 2D animation or a game. Pick a structure and it lays out the lanes: a Story strip for the logline, the core conflict, the stakes and the theme, one lane per act, an Ideas lane, and Characters, Sets and Props underneath. Six structures are built in: three acts, the Hero's Journey in Vogler's twelve stages, a fifteen-beat sheet after Blake Snyder, the story circle after Dan Harmon, Freytag's five acts and kishōtenketsu. Each lays its beats out as empty post-its (inciting incident, midpoint, climax, resolution, the twist…) that show what the beat is for until you write the scene into them. Pin more scenes between them, park ideas until they find an act, give each character a role (hero, antagonist, mentor, sidekick, trickster…), and run string from a scene to the characters, sets and props in it. Any act or scene can open a sub-board for its detail, and a set or a character can link its look board. The Plot panel in Studio reads it all back as an outline, the numbered scene list a storyboard, a cartoon or a game's levels are built from, and says what the structure is missing: no hero, no inciting incident, a climax in the wrong act, a character in no scene.
