Text Adventure

A text adventure (interactive fiction) from one manifest: rooms on a compass, read aloud as you arrive, and a command line that understands what players type: north and n, take lamp, x lamp, use key on door, give, open, push, inventory, look, again. Write each room's text and its exits by direction (n, ne, e ... up, down, in, out, each to a room or behind a key or a condition), the things in it (how each reads in the room, other words for it), and commands of the game's own ("light fire") in a rule. The room's picture is painted above the transcript, its things drawn from a library of 412 glyphs, and an icon strip and a compass make every word clickable. The solver proves the game can be won and adventure.info gives the shortest walkthrough, which the kiosk types by itself. Three layouts: illustrated, terminal (green on black) and kiosk. Ships empty on purpose.
